Current role : federal healthcare consulting (Medicare program integrity space). Current pay is 153k in person in ca and 138k if I went fully remote (anywhere in the us). 7 yrs of experience.

Offer: health payer consulting as a senior consultant. Pay is 123k base remote (performance based bonus of up to 10 percent).

I am very interested in pivoting out of federal consulting into commercial or LS work. However is this pay cut reasonable and expected when pivoting to a different space?
