I’ve noticed that HR, when explaining why a candidate didn’t get the job, tend to lean on “You’re great, but we had candidates with more experience in [skill relevant to the job].” I do believe this is true in some cases, but it can’t possibly be for all of them.

Building an invoicing template for a construction comp but won’t be industry specific. I’ll be charging 5 hours at US$80/hr. Anyone want a copy of it for US$40 worth of crypto?

I spent 2 days last week and tmr fumbling over invoicing activity with the owner using a poorly designed invoicing spreadsheet. Last minute changes to already approved templates impacting >30 invoices is ridiculous. There will be a control sheet, an invoice generating sheet and a summary sheet. Q’s or comments?

GTM moving back into consulting is a good idea in theory, but it’s like a train wreck happening in slow motion.

Sure feels like they are pushing to stand up a traditional CRE network for product sales inside of consulting … that won’t work in a service business. Some of us have seen this movie before - different theatre.

Fellow P&T Directors - here’s a thread for us to discuss what we are hearing/not hearing with regards to PCLDE and the making of new partners in P&T.

On every call, we hear Joe talk about making new Partners and his commitment. I have yet to see any of those ‘commitments’ be reflected in actions or explanations. (eg. No senior directors from commercial GTM going into PCLDE this year …) What?

Do they really think we’re going to ‘stick around’ until they ‘figure it out’ …

Also the continual request(s) for self-validation is something I have never seen of someone at his level — and I’ve been around (and coached) a lot of executives.

I have to admit that I wasn't terribly impressed by the virtual Co-Lo for Digital. The exception to that, though, was David's insightful comment that leadership knows and expects that many of us are struggling to come back from the pandemic, and it's okay to ask for help and or take a leave. Digital culture, and how we are real and take care of each other, is just AMAZING. That speech alone made me so proud to be here and turned around a lot of my negative thoughts.

Just found out, for SA2 with same roles/responsibilities (same cohort grid), there seems to be about 20k-30k difference between PwC Digital and PwC Labs. I thought we were One P&T??!
