Current comp is $140k in Texas, which is just salary and bonus. Have offer for $200k in California, which includes base, bonus and RSUs for large tech company. With taxes and COL, am I right in basically taking a hit in the short term, with the hope that stocks rise and that I’m gaining in the long term? Obviously risk with that assumption, but curious how others approach these decisions in change in comp structure.

What do people have as ECs (post graduation)? I have plenty of leadership experience (army vet and current manager) and good enough scores (3.3 engineering at top 10 undergrad, 760 gmat) but none of my hobbies/interests really translate into an application so I was curious if anybody had any ideas of ECs that could make me less two dimensional
