Decided to pick up another CCW option. Springfield Hellcat. Anyone else gone shopping as a result of all the fun currently happening in the world?

I’m hedging my bets for election season. It seems like everyone’s minds are focused on social unrest and not the models which are indicating a Blue Team knockout in November. Grabbed myself a Zastava ZPAP M70 and CZ-75 SP-01 Tactical last weekend along with a slew of magazines.

I'm expecting the polls to be wildly off this year. Not sure who will win but the current environment discourages people from saying they will vote Republican even if that's what they are going to do. Either way, I keep enjoying them for stress relief at the range.

What caliber is it? Looks like it should do the trick. I bought a full size S&W M&P .40 last week to keep in my truck. Migrated my old Ruger SR40 to the night stand. Finding ammo has been tough though.

Nice! Sounds like you’ve found a good one for sure. 👍🏼

I was in the middle of an AR build but now all the parts are selling at a premium 😒

It’s insane. Either expensive af or super random calibers/configurations

I just picked up a used Ruger American Compact 9 for $300 out the door.

Any input on job offerings I’ve received. Morgan Stanley CRU risk officer pay is $70k with a less than 10% bonus. And KeyBank position is a private client advisor pay is $67k but bonus can range from $10k -$25k depending on performance and other compensation factors. Currently a Investment Consiltant at WFA making $62k with a $7k bonus. Both are in office positions in SLC, UT. TIA

For expert witnesses/lawyers

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?

My firm’s IT (especially system saving and file locating function) is so bad 😐😞 and they keep doing updates no one asked them for just to mess with the stuff we already got a hang of without doing anything about the issues we actually need fixed. Anyone else in a similar boat? Do you bill the client for the time it takes to fix the IT issue (or IT inefficiency generally, like time taken to find a file in a convoluted system)? Or is that supposed to be our non-billable time?

Recent lateral junior associate in brand new practice where I'm the only associate. I'm probably going to bill 1,500 hours max this year due to being very slow and taking time off for a delayed honeymoon which I disclosed during my interview process. I have been told my work product is good, I don't turn anything down, I participate in non-billable work, I'm responsive and I always let people know I'm available to help. Do I need to be worried about getting fired for low hours?

Any shotgunners in here? I used to think I had one for every occasion until I started shooting a semi-auto 20 gauge for doves. Now I’m looking to upgrade to a decent O/U. I’ve got a 12 gauge O/U, but I’m really wanting a 20 in the $700 to $1200 range. Doesn’t have to be new. Any recommendations based on experience would be much appreciated. Thanks!
