Interviewed for Meta exactly 2 weeks ago today. Contacted the recruiter last Tuesday and they said they were waiting to hear back from the hiring manager to discuss the interview results. Anyone that interviewed or gotten a job with Meta how did it take from the onsite to get your decision? I received a job offer from company A and am currently negotiating salary. I have an interview with company B next week and know that they offer a higher base pay. There’s no guarantee that I will be offered a job at company B but my gut is telling me that company B would be a better fit for me. Should I accept the offer from company A, continue interview process with company B and then rescind my offer with company A if company B offers me a job? Will I be burning bridges?

I want to ask for a 20%raise, knowing that the company is planning the year budget around now should I give my manager a heads up as to what I’m expecting before my salary review? Loan payment question. I have two federal loans. One has no accumulated interest and is ~$110k. Which practice group (m&a, capital markets, or funds) would be best for someone who genuinely doesn’t care about this job/law but wants to stay in biglaw (NYC) as long as possible? Some folks say m&a is more “intellectually stimulating” and I wonder, for that reason, perhaps capital markets might suit me? (I’d rather take mind numbing repetitive tasks over more “challenging” deals)

Hi All - I’m at a firm that has some infrequent in-house training but not enough to help me develop skills to eventually become a trial lawyer. I know cases rarely make it to trial anymore, but I’d like to develop my skills as much as possible to position myself well when they do. Does anyone have any mock trial programs they’ve participated in outside of their firms that they would recommend?

Any idea why certain of the larger biglaw firms do not allow descriptive associate website bios unlike the more middle v100 firms?

What is your typical total time “working” vs. time billed? I think I must be doing something wrong, because I’m having 12 hour days but only billing 7-8 hours/day. I can’t block bill so I lose a lot of time switching between tasks and reading random emails and don’t want to put down a million .1s for reading emails, but still seems weird to be losing so much time. I’ll take quick breaks throughout the day but nothing I’d expect to total more than hour. At a loss here.
