I am attempting to lateral to a position at Littler/Ogletree/Jackson Lewis, but I do not have a license in the states where I am applying. I have been actively practicing for 8 years, so I should be able to waive into those jurisdictions without issue, but don't want to make that investment without an offer. Do those firms hire laterals and let them become licensed in the jurisdiction after coming on?

I need some strategies! When I introduce a text I use choral reading and whisper reading to guarantee students actually read the text. After an initial read, we go back and annotate to understand the text better. However, I feel like I do all the work. The class doesn’t seem to be thinking about the text. There is a lot of yawning. One policy that has been hotly debated but I strongly disagree with (as a left leaning person) is student debt cancellation. My other liberal friends also disagree with this one. Some worked hard to pay off. Others decided to borrow from family instead of institution. I know the left is not on board with this as a mainstream agenda right now and it should stay that way.
