I tried to use ChatGPT to develop some Python code for certain processes that would have taken me a week to do unassisted. I am not an expert at machine learning but know enough to be dangerous. It produced the code and I spent a couple hours working it into a form that I can use and tinkering when it wouldn’t work. In the end, the code worked but the result is still bad. We are far from being reliant on AI. We will need people to tinker and troubleshoot. But it can make certain jobs easier.
It is true that the advancement of technology and AI has already replaced many jobs in various industries, and it is likely that this trend will continue in the future. However, it is also important to note that technology and AI are not perfect and still have limitations. Certain jobs that require creativity, empathy, or complex decision-making skills are less likely to be fully automated in the near future.
Therefore, it is more likely that we will move towards a future where humans and AI work together in a complementary way. For example, AI can assist humans in making more informed decisions or automate repetitive tasks, while humans can provide the emotional intelligence and adaptability that machines lack.
It is also important for individuals to continuously upskill and adapt to changing technological environments to remain relevant in the workforce. So, rather than fearing that technology and AI will replace most jobs, we should focus on how to work alongside them and leverage their capabilities to enhance our own skills and productivity.
I feel like this what written by ChatGPT (AI platform).
No, I do not believe technology and AI could soon replace most jobs. There are certain jobs that can be automated, like those in factories, but many jobs require human interaction and creativity that cannot be replaced by technology.
