HR is scheduling the interviews without checking time with me. One interview was scheduled and then it was rescheduled to a different time at last minute. I wasn't available at that time so I mailed the HR for a different slot. They again scheduled it for a later date without checking the time with me.

Any suggestions for a formula to calculate a running count of the number of incidences in a list? For example, in a list with A, B, C, B; I want to label A = 1, then the first B =1, and first C = 1, and then the second B = 2, etc. The list is in a column and there are thousands of names. Any thoughts around how to use M&A tax skills for the better good? I’m a CPA and originally got into this for a stable / interesting job, but in the long-term I’d like to do something that either influences drafting of tax legislation or helps the public (however naive that may sound). Perhaps I’ve gotten too introspective during the pandemic. Don’t really want to go back for a JD and aside from keeping a roof over my head I’m not very motivated by money. Anyone else have similar ideas?

My motivation is waning for a lot of my work tasks, which recently have been pretty mundane. Either I need something new or this pandemic is just weighing on me extremely heavily. any tips to re-motivate myself?

I have been researching into this these days and there is literature that shares how lending worked in pre-Islamic Arabia. When the time to pay back a loan came, the lender would ask "would you pay or will you increase?" And that increase was usually doubling the loan. Subsequently ever year the loan wasn't paid it was doubled from the previous year.
