Do you tell the truth when the interviewer asks, "how much did you get paid in your previous role?" Are all companies able to confirm it through any background searches? My recent interview asked me what I made previously and I told them the honest truth. They’re interested in me but I feel they’d probably expect me to accept the same salary. A bit of regret here.

So im changing into veterinary medicine and im seeing that the starting rate for a vet tech is around $16-18. Why is that?? Why are people in the vet med industry being paid so low??
