Do you think it's accurate that this many young people would quit just because of a "bad boss"?

I'm not sure I believe that. I think this generation is certainly more inclined than its predecessors, but just up and quitting isn't feasible for most people if they don't have a backup plan in place.

Speaking only for myself, but I will tough out a bad boss over being broke any day.

Yes I definitely think that this is true. I am a millenial and I have quit several places because of a bad boss. I really think that a good or bad manager can make or break a place of employment. I am not staying somewhere that is toxic and dealing with a manager that doesn't know how to do their job.

I've put up with some bad bosses. I couldn't afford to just leave. And, it helps that I'm really stubborn and I wasn't going to let them grind me down. There's probably some situation where I just couldn't abide to work for someone, but I haven't gotten close to that yet.

What do you all think is the upper limit range for someone in an account manager role at a tech firm? What’s the career path? Was there anything you’ve done in terms of upskilling that resulted in increased pay? Or should I just pick something else if I want to be making more than what I make atm ~150k TC with 6 years exp.

I'm an engineer, and I feel like my manager is more of a friend than anything else. We talk about our personal lives, and I feel like it's hard to be completely honest with her when she's so casual with me. I’ve been offered a reporting consultant job for less than 60k and I bring 9+ years of experience to the role. They should be offering more. I don’t want to settle but I don’t want to miss an opportunity to move. Reporting consultants should start at $65k per recruiting sites. Any advice? How can I get HR/recruiters to offer more? TIA

I’m have a new theory about why juniors always feel like idiots and wanted to see if anyone else thinks this makes sense. I’m a third year, and am the most junior person all of my teams (generally me, a senior or two, and a partner or two), and I always feel like I’m messing something up. Is this just because I never get to work with other juniors and don’t see the mistakes they make, and that it’s relatively normal? And FWIW I went to HYS and I’ve had a clerkship so it’s not like I’m not smart

Hi all- I’m a first year staff who works in Forensic accounting & compliance. I am almost at 1 year in PA, & have come to terms that this career is not for me. I am a creative at heart & interested in working in the music business/ tech industry. My PA experience has provided me with hard skills, which is why I think it would be a great segway into the music biz & entertainment industry. Please react/comment if you are in the music biz/tech field. Would love some advise on how to pivot!
