Do you think there is still a stigma against tattoos in the work world?

I have plenty of tattoos some of which are visible depending on my shirt selection. I have a very large tattoo on my shoulder that comes half way down my arm. I’m a VP at a top Financial institution. So I’d say no.

Yes there is. I have some tattoos I cover in the workplace and when my colleagues found out about them they definitely looked at me differently. It’s sad that something like having some personal expression makes people think you’re a junky

Yes, I think so. It really depends on the individuals though, so it is hard to make a blanket statement

I think there is, yes. It gets changed by people living their authentic lives, reaching positions of power, and showing acceptance when they're making the rules.

To some degree, yes. I wish there wasn't. It just seems like if they're visible, then the stigma of them being a poor employee exists. Just depends on the situation I suppose

These are all just culturescape preset judgements. Nobody should be caring about these things in 2024, when the ones running the tech field that is making more businesses productive are sitting in their basements loaded with tattoos. A lot of the doctors saving life’s are. Our military men risking their lives for our freedom are loaded with ink. This is just an outdated societal narrative…

There is. Cover up is the safe choice

Higher up and in corporate, yes. Lower, it's getting more acceptable. I don't mind tattoos, just keep them off your neck and face, and don't cover your body. A few tasteful tattoos here and there are fine. Much like jewelry, less is more.

If you're going for an interview with visible inks,you will probably be looked at with judgement, this is 2024 and something like Tattoos shouldn't be looked at in such manner,but unfortunately people still have cringe feelings about it

Absolutely not! I have tattoos, long nails and long eyelashes lol my work gets done and done well! Thats all that matters
