Does anyone else ever get Imposter Syndrome? I’m about to get a huge opportunity and the offer completely surprised me. I’m one of 23 GMs in my division, and I’m also one of the youngest. I know my background has prepared me for exactly this project, but I keep thinking “Why me? Do they think the project is going to fail and that’s why they picked me?” Which I ALSO KNOW is completely ludicrous and instead I should just be proud of myself. Anyone have any advice for silencing that inner doubt?

I get like this sometimes. I usually take a step back and do something I know I enjoy to kick the nerves a bit. Reading webtoons or taking a dance class helps me a lot of the time :) A lot of the time, you are just too close to the situation and you need to take a pause. You got this love ✨️✨️✨️

This has happened to me a few times. What I have learned to do is to think about recent accomplishments and the value I bring to my company, my team,my role or future role and that usually helps.

I am in a similar boat. I definitely struggle with imposter syndrome. My boss recently recommended me for a director level promotion and I was shocked. I immediately thought “me, really?” 😂 I’ve even been formally recognized in the past for being a top performer, but it just doesn’t register with me. I’m just trying to stay positive and ignore doubts and reframe my thinking. I will try to take my own advice too, but know that your work likely speaks for itself and you were given this opportunity because people have confidence in your abilities.

I'm serving notice period in TCS and my last day is in 2 weeks. I requested for pickup of laptop in the portal but I came to know that it will take time for pickup and I won't be available if they come late. So I decided to go to office and surrender the laptop as I'm in the location of office only.
