Not in my experience it doesn't. Those exams are VERY hard and we have had several people in our office fail them atleast once. As long as you pass it this go around you should be fine.
The failure rate on some of the exams can be pretty high, so it's likely that won't be held against you. What matters is that you pass the exam and obtain the license. Once that's done the history won't matter.
