Nature made prenatals. Recommended by two fertility doctors, mfm and obgyn. If it makes you sick, switch to just folic acid (whole foods, 365) n then switch back once you feel better.
Since people have already made recommendations I’ll add something different - don’t worry if your vitamins cause you to feel sick. My wife stopped taking them after 2 days because they made her nauseous and baby was still healthy. Almost 2 years old now :)
There are no studies that have confirmed folate will prevent neural tube defects. The official acog recommendation is for a prenatal with folic acid not folate.
That’s great that you’re good with that but there are no studies that prove that folate prevents neural tube defects which is why the official recommendation is folic acid and not folate
I had bad morning sickness so I couldn’t get hard pills down. Some of them are huge! I went the gummy route. Smarty Pants brand. I also got a free sample of EnfaMom that was pretty tasty. Only downside is the lack of iron.
I like perelel the best - however, they smell and there’s 5 per pack. They’re really researched and tailored to each trimester. OB and mom founded. Take prenatals at night before bed - no one warned me. They made me so nauseous and when I started them at night, I had instant improvement.
Keep up your exercise routine (unless it’s hot yoga, because high temperatures aren’t good right now)
Pregnancy and eventually giving birth are the equivalent of running a marathon for the female body. The better your fitness now, The easier it will be to maneuver your belly in just a handful of months!

The MTHFR mutation doesn’t matter -

I take my kind organics.. the 3 a day version. My obgyn was ok with it. It has no dha/epa so take that separately.

So are most sources of vitamin C? What does it matter if it is manufactured?
