I’m having a really hard time with my changing body. 13 weeks, I don’t have too many bad side effects of pregnancy or anything so I consider myself lucky (no nausea ever etc) but I’m depressed at work, my skin is completely broken out and showing new broken face capillaries, and I’m not showing a bump yet so I just feel fat and big. I don’t know where this “glow” is but I look in the mirror and literally am grappling with not recognizing myself :( it’s been impossible to find any clothes too.

I can totally relate to both the skin issues and feeling big. If it makes you feel any better:

- You should be able to start doing facials since you're hitting the second trimester. (Of course only ones that are pregnancy-safe, which are milder, but still made me at least feel fresher)
- I felt more comfortable with my body starting around week 16, bloat went down and noticeable bump appeared, (having twins). Now at 19 and all those slim fitting clothes I normally save for really slim days, I'm rocking bc it's obvious and I feel great about it!

You’re at the worst part of the pregnancy. It gets better! Just do things to pamper yourself and mid 2nd trimester you’ll start feeling better and get that glow!

I’m going through the pregnancy acne too ☹️ I noticed improvements with azelaic acid. I wasn’t aware of it prior to pregnancy since I had been on prescription topicals. If you have any tendency to pick I’d recommend some type of fidget spinner or cube!

I might have a spending problem. I don’t think (?) I’m 23 and independent. Working full time and studying full time is taking a serious toll on my mental health. I’m always tired, unmotivated, depressed, sometimes angry at my life, and I don’t know what to do. I’m in my sophomore year. I also don’t work in the field that I’m studying (computer science) because I’m always rejected without an interview, which is another aggravating factor for me. It’s hard to have time to work on personal projects to make my portfolio more attractive.

We were not trying to conceive. And I was drinking alcohol like twice a week.

So I had my NIPT and NT scans last week and I’ve been getting pieces of the results back from my doctor in the patient portal. All seems okay but I’m a bit confused. Does anyone know if FirstScreen is the same thing as NIPT? I was under the impression that NIPT was in 90th percent of certainty for Down syndrome but the result we got, labeled FirstScreen indicate 83% certainty so I’m confused if there are more results coming? I messaged the doctor but haven’t heard back yet.

I’m around 21 weeks and have been dealing with a lot of leg, tailbone, back, and general muscle pain.
