It was a crazy day for us as well. I got to work at 4 AM and didn't leave until after 4 PM. It was just crisis after crisis after crisis. I drove home in shell-shocked silence, lol. Here's hoping tomorrow is better.
Oh yes, those “just vibes” bus rides hit different. I used to pop in earbuds just for silence, not even music, and sit with a cold soda on the ride home. Now, something I like to do is a slow shower with the lights off and lavender soap. What helps you breathe again after those days?
Cool shower, Lavender/Peppermint soap and a Delta 9 gummy
Haha I have those regularly. By the time my shift ends, I'm so mentally drained that all I want to do is drive home in complete silence. Once I'm back, I hop in the shower, find a show on Netflix and order some kind of comfort food from Uber Eats. I try not to do it too often because it adds up quick, but after a grueling shift I feel like I deserve some kind of reward.
Lol yeah sometimes the exhaustion leads me to literally crave silence on the way home. I take off my shoes for my drive and just zone out in silence. I love to have a coca cola though!
I do this basically everyday driving home from work.
I'm looking for a job is anyone here now looking for a person to hire
Typically, I jump in my car as fast as I can and drive home. Then once I arrive home, I will turn off my car and radio and just sit there…decompressing for a while. Sometimes I sit in silence but most times I will scroll through my phone.
what works for me is talking to my loved ones cause i instantly find myself laughing and just like that forgets of all that exhaustion
This has happened to me more times than one. I get home and just want to stare at the ceiling to decompress. I tell my family I need an hour of no talking haha.
Rising Star
Headphones and music on my commute. Sometimes I scroll social media. Play games on my phone. Read an article or two. A small way to decompress and take my mind off of it.
I used to turn rap music on as loud as I could on my way home to drown out the day. On my way in it was 80s , but not on the way home
