That was a stupid decision to resign without an offer
It’s not, you get more opportunity when you are in notice period, market always has vacancy to fill in because all the time someone will be switching from here and there.
Just have a mindset that you can do it, because you are you going to act for someone else, within few interviews you will know a trend to succeed in early rounds, then you should learn how to negotiate to get better offer, and other things.
You will never know how much worth you are if you think you can’t get a job in 3 months.
It’s a risk, yes but you now what you are than anyone else.
So many years before... I resigned without a backup plan just after one year due to some office politics issues and I regret not searching for the other jobs prior to the resignation.
I was unemployed for more or less 3 years in the total.
But I luckily got back into the IT company.
But my friend who did the same never got the job again. She is now running the personal classes and doing the trading.. but not earning as much as she would with the job.
Check if you can take the resignation back.
Else, search for another job like a hungry wolf.
As you wish pal..
Atleast for me.. my decision of the resignation was wrong as I needed the financial support.
I just wanted to let you know that in the common scenario, backup is necessary.
If you are rich by birth or already stable financially, it's your choice.
Hey, i applaud your decision. It's not easy making this move, but if you are happy and at peace with your decision then that's what's more important. There are several reasons why people take career breaks, and any progressive Organization would value your time off if you decide to use the gap to upskill and learn something new
All the best!
thanks for motivation!
Great decision you did bcz i know the pain i am on same boat ..i didn't get anytime to learn new things just focus on your career
You should do Azure cloud certification. Since you are from microsoft/ it infra background.
Resignation is great not an issue. But I would recommend have backup plan first. Also start self study and do some mock interviews. If you feel you are now well prepared then you can Resign. While on notice when you get calls. You should be able to crack those interviews and not like it should be a eye opener for you were you again need to brush up the things.
Since you are on notice every interview should be a do or die situation and you should be in a position to crack those. Why iam saying this is because incase you don't get anything once your notice period ends. You should not feel that heat. Best luck buddy. All will go well. Study hard and just say you have some offer in hand when othe companies say why you Resigned.
sure thanks, already started
Hey I did resign for the same, in 3 years, DM me if you need a personal assistance.
In general, it is ok to be in comfort zone when you have other things to do like you are a beginner and starting to learn new things, when you have issues in real life that you need more time to focus, when you need a steady income without risking your job, when you need more peace than pressure, etc,.
You must switch/search outside when you think you are better than what you get now, when you get low balled with no further good hikes, when your work becomes numb and gives you high enough, etc,.
What is your tech stack, why you are learning new skill?
