Finding my confidence again has been a journey. After dealing with anxiety and a rough review cycle, I’m struggling to find my confidence again. I was once a top performer, but lately it feels like I’ve lost that spark. How do you all regain your confidence after a hard period? Any advice for pushing through a job search when you’re not feeling your best?

Working on a regular desk and my laptop has been killing my back and neck for last few years. Finally spent a couple hundred dollars on a standing desk, wireless keyboard, and back/neck heating pad to alleviate the pain. Very hopeful working will be much better now.

How do you frame your specialty as a designer?

Trying to emphasize a level of specialization without shutting out too many opportunities.

I just graduated with my PsyD in school psych & several years experience in education, clinical psych & also as an admin/EA at a marketing firm HQ but am planning on interviewing for learning & dev roles. Transactional associate. Lateraled 6 months ago and one of the biggest pain points has been my new firm’s inclination to “hop on a call”, which of course requires every single stakeholder to join. The end result being every call has 25 people on it and nothing actually gets done because no one wants to ask a question that could come off as silly. It’s destroying my ability to get anything done during the day. It’s a complete performance and it drives me nuts.
