Personally, I wouldn’t go with brands as you’d be paying for the brand an not necessarily a better stone or band. Find a good, reputable jeweler in your city and shop there. You’ll find some that have been around forever, even family owned. In case you live in NYC, I love Greenwich St Jewelers.
You can get an amazing lab grown diamond at that price point. Brilliant Earth was great with my engagement ring.
Sorry, thought I responded to this yesterday! I use Anspach up in Lafayette for repairs, but the jeweler I use for diamonds/new jewelry is a wholesaler and doesn’t have a bench for repairs
Not a brand at all. Go to a small jeweler, you’ll get a way better deal. Happy to give a rec if you happen to be in NYC.
Would also strongly consider lab grown at that price point.
Agree with PWC1, went with lab diamond and was able to get a much bigger size for a fraction of the cost
I had a friend who went with a local jeweler & a diamond she used from her grandma’s ring fell out w/in 2 months and it’s lost forever. The second stone became loose as well, but not lost. The jeweler denied anything was her fault, but my friend hadn’t been rough with it. If you buy from a bigger company, it could have a good warranty if you care about that. I went with Brilliant Earth & recommend them.
Try Rare Carat for lab diamonds if you want to compare stone quality & costs.
Thank you for sharing this!
My jeweler in FL can make anything you dream of.. has done multiple pieces for me including my wedding jewelry. He also ships and insures in all 48 states and does design work (including CAD) remotely. DM if interested :)
I live in CO and still only use him.
