Wait until you’ve delivered a lot more value than your original salary reflects. Do the job, then ask for the salary correction. This could work well as part of a promotion convo down the line.
Thank ya!
No you nerd get a life outside of work
Hahaha. Plenty of life outside of it and too little to do at work lately. I leave by five most days and sometimes early. Plus, it’s tough to have a life when I can’t pay for it!
Oh, sweet sweet junior writer
CD nailed it—spreading you to other accounts is already a key indicator that you’re doing a good job. Just keep track of your accomplishments and make sure they’re recorded in your official reviews, if you’re in an agency environment that has that kind of structure.
I would check your expectations though—your attitude in this post makes it seem like one of those “not my job” creatives, which nobody (between account services, pm and fellow creatives) likes. Scopes change on a dime. Be a hand raiser, not someone who stomps their feet because they “were hired to work on just one account.”

And to think I didn’t even read the above thread before that other reply about “being bored at work” yet wanting more money. Yikes dude. Get a grip.
The work I do is pretty boring, yes, and lately I’ve had more internet surf time. This isn’t the norm though, and I know Jan will bring long days with the type of work I’m doing. No need to be so abrasive when you don’t know the full context. We are here to help each other.
