Should I move to another firm and take the higher pay (20% more) and do more work I’d enjoy doing and have better growth and long term career potential, while sacrificing my current title (would have to step down from associate to analyst), WLB, and team chemistry?
Hello, does anyone work as an auto underwriter for insurance? I recently got accepted for an internal job position and was offered $50k. I’m currently a claim processor making $20/hour so the offer is more than what i’m making but is low in comparison to the average salary for an auto underwriter in AZ (which is around $58k). I believe because the company knows how much i’m making they lowballed me. Any tips on how to navigate the salary negotiation and can u share ur salary ?
I just left a very toxic work place.
The crazy thing is they were just named the best local municipality to work for. It's upsetting. They advertise a "culture" but don'tapply it. It felt like a used car sales pitch, I was sold a dream but given junk. I am constantly replaying moments. I have read so many books and everything leads to they were the problem. How do I recover from this?
Any good leadership books?
I went straight in-house after law school and I often wish I went into private practice. I feel that I’m not as sharp as I should be because I didn’t spend my formative years in private practice. It’s been 6 years now. I’ve been on fishbowl for a month and those of you in private practice make it sound like hell. Do any of you enjoy it?
With the huge budget my company sets aside for advertising, lots of people think that marketing execs are really well paid. I WISH!!!

Hello! I am currently a product manager - I like it but it’s not as technical. I used to be an integration specialist and I loved how technical I was. Are there any other jobs I can switch to where I can get paid as much as a Product Manager but still am technical?
SO has about 120K sitting in a high yield savings account, she is a PhD student. What to do? Do we just invest it in a 401k 19k per year? Don't think we will use it in the next 5yrs either

Anyone in Salt Lake City? What's a typical new tax senior associate salary for that market?
What’s the best practice to report an incompetent TFS / HR Partner? Or do they just such across all the MUs and are we supposed to accept that?
They’ve increasingly gotten worse. We had it good with our TFS in TS before the NGGM but the quality has consistently gone down.
Does anyone here work in product data science? I’m thinking about transitioning into this area but I want to learn more.

What is the right way to use miles for an upgrade on American? Have enough miles for an upgrade based on the website but unsure how to go about it. Does this happen at time of purchase or closer to time of travel? And does it matter where I buy the ticket from (American website vs. an aggregator like Expedia for example?). It it matters, travel is to London from Chicago.

Currently in Commercial RE and looking to make a switch to FP&A (preferably a Financial Analyst). I'm having trouble finding opportunities as many of the firms I've talked to want people who can come in as a Sr. Analyst. Does anyone have any advice/tips on getting into a role like this? Thanks!
Would you include TOV/branding work in a portfolio as well as more traditional ‘big idea’ campaigns for TV, etc?
Feeling really down I’m working with no purpose late into the night 12am every night and I don’t see myself doing this line of work long term. I want to pivot/career change into a new role but don’t have any job lined up (I know the next role I want) any advice on how to power through this or would quitting and focusing on myself to recalibrate my goals be wise. I’m hating life at the moment and I want to regain control over it

Hi, everyone. How realistic it is to start a career at McKinsey as an Associate when I just had a baby and my husband also has a demanding job?
Positive: My mom lives with us and takes care of the baby a lot + nanny/cleanin, and I am hoping to not travel because my industry is in the city.
Negative: Burned out at my current consulting company, working 10-11hours/day. I haven't felt guilt yet, bc I am WFH and I get to see her from 6 to 9 am then 1-2 hrs before bedtime and then I keep working.
My company has asked for investments proofs. Jts feb only and i have upcomming mutual funds sip also. How can i show these upcomming sip investments ?
