Holy smokes, $500 for a single dress? Is it made of gold? I know that's the non-sale price, but couldn't justify that regardless of how much I was making.

likefunny

I know their stuff can be really pricey! But if there’s a statement piece you’re looking for the sale is the time to grab it!

like

Never buy Veronica Beard full price! I’ve snagged a few dresses for under $150 and I sometimes buy pre-owned from Rent the Runway or ThredUp

like

Make sure you check the fabric at VB or they’ll have you spending $500 on cheap polyester!

So helpful. Thank you.

What are your client follow-up/communication policies or practices? I’m hearing more and more that clients don’t like the long periods of time with little to no contact. From my perspective, since I bill for my time, unless I have an update or need something, I don’t initiate a call. Also, clients hold on to important info and don’t initiate a call cause they’re waiting for me to communicate with them.

Have an offer from AWS for an L7 Principal PMT role: $215k base + $275k sign on bonus for Year 1 and $215k for year 2 + 5100 RSUs (@ $130 / share). Does that sound like a decent counter?

What do you hate about BigLaw?
I actually love it. I was a paralegal in BL during law school. Maybe I am use to the environment? What am I missing? Help me remove the rose colored glasses. The cases are interesting, pay is fantastic, offices are beautiful, and the research resources are a big reason why I never want to leave. Sure there are partners/senior associates that don’t respect you or your time. That happens everywhere and would mean you need to move firms or sections. What am I missing?

Tips for bankruptcy associates who eventually want to move in-house? 3rd year associate in bankruptcy/restructuring group doing mainly bk lit but a few deals too.
