What do you actually spend 10+ hours a day doing as a strategy consultant? Meetings, expert interviews, excel modeling?

Hi all, I need your help - I work in a bank as a product manager, 3 YOE and I want to move to Tech companies (I.e. Google) as a product manager.

This year I have not got any interview from FAANG (I don’t know why…) but got two offers from Consultancy.
1. Digital Product owner (80% focusing on financial industry)
2. Digital strategy consultant ( 50% focusing on high tech industry) but my worry is that this would be more strategy work

Which one should I choose that can get me into Tech?

I have an interview scheduled in 2 weeks for a strategy consultant role.

I never had a phone screen or interview with HR but the call is set with 2 managers, consultant, and a director level.

What do you think of this in terms of how long the process might be?

Interviewing at Deloitte for Cloud Strategy Consultant in a few weeks. I have a non-technical background. Two 30min interviews the same day - basic get to know you and a case study.

Anyone work in this practice or gone through this hiring process ?

What should I expect in the 30 min phone interview with a Manager for Deloitte Operations Strategy Consultant role? Are there any questions they always ask at Deloitte? Any guidance is appreciated.

Does anyone have experience with interviewing for strategy consultant (2/3/4) roles @ Wells Fargo? Looking for insight into if there are case studies and what they’re like

Have an upcoming interview for Tech strategy consultant with Deloitte. Recruiter mentioned 1 case and 2 behavioral interviews. Really appreciate if someone can share their experience and also touch on the following -
1) Case - will this be tech focused or random case interview? Is it similar to McK interview?

2) Behavioral - Typically how many questions per interview? Do they Grill and ask lot of followups? Appreciate a couple of examples

Hey everyone, I have been trying to break into the data science world as a strategy consultant. Have put in numerous hours after work and on weekends to learn programming/ DS and algorithms, ML, and statistics. I now have a pretty good resume of personal projects, but am having trouble getting any interviews. Should I go get an MS or keep on trying to find a job as a data scientist? I'm going for an internal position switch to strategy consultant in advanced analytics.

The internal switch requires a normal interview 30' talk about motivations, strengths, ... And a case interview.

Some competitors search for 'creative' ways of tackling the first minutes of the 30' talk by creating eg. a video where others present the candidate.

How is this perceived by hiring managers, and if perceived good, what other ways are great?
