Took me 2.5 months. Quality over quantity. Don’t apply someplace unless you know someone or can connect to someone there. Otherwise it’s pretty fruitless
Hello, PM1, does it means it’s better to connect to anyone in the company e.g. recruiters, even I am just stating my application?
Shall I connect to the interviewer? If yes, shall I connect with them before or after the interview?
Thanks!
if you are employed why not start applying? Its the best time, there is very little risk. If you wait until you are unemployed it is too late. I hear the market is not good but you can be picky since you dont need a job today. I started looking at my old company in March of last year and signed for the new position in early July. There were 3 rounds of interview including some case study and presentation. The new job is better than my old job is almost all ways but the only thing I knew when I took the leap is that the new job had better pay and the old job had no career development and was getting a little crazy with restructuring and red tape. Good Luck! start now
The market is horrible and super competitive. I was laid off back in October and have had some leads/interviews but no offers. Won't hurt to look while still employed.. whatever you do, do not quit! It will take a while.
3.5 months, applied without referrals, I was very precise on where I applied, made sure I edited my resume and my cover letter to fit their job description.
