Hi All,
Looking to make the move from working in industry to big4 and was curious as to what level and pay I might be worth?
I have 10 years experience out of uni, as well as completed CPA and MBA. I have a experience in managing entire finance function of small/medium entities, but most notably solid corporate finance experience/strategy leading refinance exercises, debt raising, hedging/treasury strategy etc…Would be looking for something in deal advisory / M&A / CFO advisory etc….thanks Deloitte EY PwC @
A few years ago I found out that companies are required to release their job titles and salary when they sponsor someone for an American work visa. If your firm hires international people, salary data for that role is available.
There is a website called h1bgrader.com that has turned all that data into an interactive dashboard.
I think this data is far far more accurate than glass door or any other self-disclosure forum.
If you have unlimited patience you can lookup H1B data on Uscis.gov and analyze it yourself.

Curious to know which is this non- profit. Sounds interesting.
Mmm. So I want to say that it's going to be about 15% less, if not more. Depends on if the non-profit has a more grassroots or local focus, how long it's been established, and where it gets its funding. I think finding work that's meaningful for you and others is worth any pay cut out there. If they know you're coming from a more corporate environment then you'll be offered about as high as they can go - they need talent and are aware they'll need to attract you with at least a somewhat competitive number.
Keep in mind that non-profits are going to prioritize their money around two things: raising money and doing the work they're built to do. If what you are managing is part of the work they're built to do they may be very willing to get close to your current TC/competitive/pay well.
Thank you, everyone! Fingers crossed it’s a good fit for both sides.
