Does anyone here have experience working as a PM for a non-profit? I have an interview with one that I would love to be a part of. I can’t find much information online regarding salary expectations. I am willing to take a pay cut to join a non-profit I am passionate for. That being said - I’m trying to balance knowing it may be lower with not accepting a low-ball offer due to lack of information.

You as well!

All the best to you. Unfortunately, don’t have much info on this. You could look at the background of product team, Individuals may bring interviewing styles from their past companies. Curious to know which is this non- profit. Sounds interesting.

Mmm. So I want to say that it's going to be about 15% less, if not more. Depends on if the non-profit has a more grassroots or local focus, how long it's been established, and where it gets its funding. I think finding work that's meaningful for you and others is worth any pay cut out there. If they know you're coming from a more corporate environment then you'll be offered about as high as they can go - they need talent and are aware they'll need to attract you with at least a somewhat competitive number.

like

Keep in mind that non-profits are going to prioritize their money around two things: raising money and doing the work they're built to do. If what you are managing is part of the work they're built to do they may be very willing to get close to your current TC/competitive/pay well.

Thank you, everyone! Fingers crossed it’s a good fit for both sides.

I’m currently prepping for Bain & Company and McKinsey & Company interviews scheduled in the next 2 months. For those that interviewed with both, how would you suggest I tailor my preparation for each one? I understand McKinsey is interviewer led while Bain is the opposite. But other than that, is there anything else I should work on separately for each one?

Currently at EY senior 3 up for promotion to manager just interviewed with Deloitte and people seem great! Salary increase is amazing… is this a good decision hmm… you guys tell me. I have no issues with EY but my salary is not what I would like it to be and when I promote I don’t think they will come close to offer from Deloitte.

Once a company says they are working on an offer for you, how long have you seen the actual, written offer take? I haven’t made a move in a long time so can’t even remember what this timeline is like. Imagine it might depend on salary/position, as well.

The role I’m interviewing for has an opening for the same position in the city I want to move to. The problem is that the recruiter mentioned that relocation is unlikely atm because of covid. If I were to receive an offer, is there any room to negotiate relocation at a later time? How long do people normally work at an agency before switching office locations? This agency is 100% remote if that makes a difference.

Looking for some advice on making a career switch. Currently in FP&A for a fintech company making $80k a year with a 10% bonus and options that are exercisable when the company goes public. I have been with this company a little under a year. I just received an offer to join a boutique consulting firm that would draw on my current financial and technical experience. Compensation is $100k a year with a 20% bonus. I love my current company, but is this a no brainer? Should I ask for a counter?

I am also seeing that nannies are umm kinda pricey too for a long term bid. So just trying to see the general consensus
