With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. I’ve worked really hard and I’m worried our wonderful news will throw chances with this :(- also if I don’t get promoted pretty sure it’s up or out. Any advice?

With product design questions, I struggle to identify user groups. Once I do everything starts flowing and I’m confident. But the initial identification of user groups is something I find challenging. What’s your go-to way of doing this? For example, the question “design a podcasting app for truck drivers.” What types of truck drivers can I select so that I can prioritize a user group to focus on and begin identification of pain points and solutions?

A colleague told me today that Google separates Product Manager and Product Owner as two separate roles. I believe that one PM role is preferred in the industry and most modern software companies, especially FAANG companies, only have PMs. Just curious what others have experienced and if I'm correct in my assumption.

I've had some people reach out to me on LinkedIn asking for free guidance on interviewing, starting out in a job, moving up, etc. I've met with a few people more than once for an hour or so at a time...wondering how big the market is for doing this kind of thing with recent college grads? I have received two offers from great companies. One is a senior analyst role in the advertising industry and another is a Product manager role in the risk industry. I have 1-2 years of experience as an analyst.
The salary, benefits for both are same. I’m looking for a role that has tech and strategy designing as well and both the roles offer this.
My long term goal is to be a product manager but I want to be on the tech side as well. How do evaluate the offers?
