Good evening everyone,

My salary is less than 12 lakh. Far too less than that but my company keeps deducting TDS, arguing that 10% tax deduction is mendatory (as part of cpany policy) for contractual employees, and that I can just claim it back through ITR. But ITR is a long process and I can not afford my already less salary of 20k INR to face further deductions. Is there anything I can do about this?

My firm’s IT (especially system saving and file locating function) is so bad 😐😞 and they keep doing updates no one asked them for just to mess with the stuff we already got a hang of without doing anything about the issues we actually need fixed. Anyone else in a similar boat? Do you bill the client for the time it takes to fix the IT issue (or IT inefficiency generally, like time taken to find a file in a convoluted system)? 1. 34 LPA fixed pay ( both employer and employee PF included) 12% of Basic. Total 3.2 LPA in PF deduction.

1. 1.5 lakhs 80c
2. 50k 80ccd
3. HRA - 22k p.m.
