I currently work in Private (GA) Aviation & have for some time (about 12 years) I’m currently making the switch to the Department of Aviation and am unsure if I should ditch my current job (in private) and go full force with the DOA & embrace this new opportunity educationally and gather as much experience as I can or keep both jobs even though I’d be working 80hr weeks.. I am interested in pivoting from an agency into a traditional business consultancy role. I have start-up tech experience and four years of Strategy experience for media clients. Are there any projects folks in consulting would recommend I take on to add to build on to a resume? I certainly do not want to do Audit. Would you recommend getting the CPA considering my career aspirations? Do you think it’s worth it? If not, what is the best way to use my time efficiently?

Would it be hard to get a exp associate role in advisory at a B4 as someone with about 10 months in audit at EY, 7 months experience in corporate accounting at a F300 and CPA? Hated my time at the F300 but had thought the grass would be greener in industry.
