Had a Eugene city job first-level local interview this morning with an interesting twist. I was given questions beforehand, but right before the interview started I was told "answer these like we haven't read your résumé."

Well, that threw me a bit. I've probably done over 30 interviews the last 10 years and no one has ever said that. I would have prepped my answers differently if I'd known that ahead of time....Thoughts?

Why do recruiters never tell you which agency they want to talk to you about until they get you on the phone? I don’t want to waste anyone’s time and it would be helpful to know this info from the initial outreach. My experience with this only applies to healthcare, but would imagine it’s the same in consumer as well. Anyone?
