Nothing super high paying (this is retail, after all 😂), but I did make somewhat of a lateral move, salary wise. I normally don't leave unless I'm getting a decent salary increase, but I had had it up to here with that store. I was so happy to get out.
I've heard of people doing that, but I'd be very skeptical of it myself. I feel like I had a lot of stress in lower level jobs, and if I were to go backwards in that sense I'd still have lots of stress, just with less money. Maybe I'm too cynical, but it just feels like stress would appear no matter what, so giving up a good salary to evade stress may not work out as intended.
