Currently it's in high demand, companies like Deloitte, IBM, Capgemini, Wipro are always looking for them. The salaries are also good. I know a person earning 28 LPA with 5 years of exp.
I think the opportunities for Salesforce Developer in a product based are less and even if a product based company hires a salesforce developer they do for internal application development, migration from legacy CRM and maintenance unless you are in a company which has a appexchange package.
Is salesforce future proof? , like if not can i use my skills got from salesforce development to transition into other domain like java, etc
