Sucks when you have a bye week :(
Notre Dame, uh... Finds a way...
Current and Ex-Chewy, Inc. folks in corporate roles…Can you please share your honest feedback about the company? The work culture, bureaucracy, management style, work life balance, pay structure and growth prospects? Reading mixed opinions on different platforms so need some clarity. Appreciate it.
I got an email from a recruiter from PayPal about a position I didn’t apply for. How do I know that? Because on workday you can see all the jobs I applied for. I applied for one position in the company but got reply for another position I am not interested in. The recruiter wants to set up a phone interview? How would you react? Because I would love working there, but not in this position,
Would you say something during the phone call or before?

I still live in New York but I work remotely for an agency in a smaller market and go there once a month. They were having trouble finding people with my level of experience in their city.
We will be soon for a couple of ACD roles. Probably in June or July.
I’ve never lived in NY, but I lived in LA at the beginning of my career. I’ve lived in second or third tier markets since as well as a stint abroad.
I’m currently in Minneapolis, however this place may be a particularly oddball market. I work freelance and I’ve only worked for one agency here once. All my other clients have been in the coasts, Texas and also a remote FT job I had in the past for an agency in Chicago. Nobody in this fucking city will even consider me since they don’t know me and I didn’t go to high school with them or whatever.
Left Boston with a remote job at the end of covid. Moved to a city that has 0 advertising presence so will be keeping this job until I find my next remote thing one day.
Rising Star
NYC>CHI. Zilch. Could be my book. Could also be that I am not best friends with any ECDs. Could be there are fewer roles to go around.
