I’ll just not go if they make me. They can term me. Plenty of remote jobs out there still
MANY of the new resources we hired during COVID were hired as virtual or remote resources, and will NEVER be expected to relo to one of the USDC locations. I would recommend anyone in that cohort review their offer letter/employment contract for the details!
Are most of them still with D ?

I was hired for Lake Mary. I’m completely remote now and just filled out the relocating forms. My manager, coach and PPMD had to approve via email. My manager didn’t care cause I’m still delivering so the transfer took a total of two weeks.
D9- There’s a virtual pilot that they have not made as a permanent option yet. I don’t think the powers that be know if they want to make that more open or not yet.
Lake Mary is pretty awesome. Nice area, good school, perfect weather, 2 huge office buildings with lots of free parking…
I live in lake mary. Was hired to work at the lake mary office during Covid. Have only been there 2 times to get my badge and submit paperwork. Never plan on spending any substantial time in the office.
My point is no one should care if you’re actually there. Pretty sure my entire team would quit if I mandated they come into the office for our project
I was hired during this time period and hired to work from home. When reopening offices started being talked about they made it out to he that everyone had to relocate. I checked with my coach and offer letter - my coach said to check the offer letter too. Because the letter says work at home and which other office I am aligned with, I do not need to relocate.
If you don't want to relocate check with Talent team and move to hybrid or virtual model
I love in SoCal. No desire to live in Florida, Arizona, or Pennsylvania. Provided your client is okay with it (find one who will be okay with it), there is no reason to be near a center. I would recommend being with 2 hours of a Deloitte office in case you need anything (computer breaks, etc.). Irc that is actually stated in your contract. But other than that, live where you want but be prepared to alter your time to fit the client.
Come to lake mary. Get a 13% raise from no state taxes. Plus half the cost of living
Why are we not able to carve out a forever remote/virtual for delivery resources? After all, I am compensated at a delivery resource level.
