Moving from T2 to McKinsey. How do vacation requests work? I have family and friends getting married this fall in weddings delayed because of covid, but I’ll just have started so wanted to get a sense of how realistic taking vacation this fall would be and how to approach taking it (e.g. mention to HR, staffing). My wife is in sales at Mercedes and she has been averaging $200k a year and growing YoY. She loves her job, however she works long days and barely gets time off. We plan on having kids within the next year or two, and it’s highly u likely that she’ll be able to keep her current gig. We want to find a career that allows her to work remote or that at least gives her a better work life balance so that she can see her kids grow up. Should she get certifications to give her a shot at adtech?Too late?

Had few doubts :
1. How is work related to devops and cloud ?
2. Since the tavisca is taken over by JPMC , are all policies and benefits are now applicable to current tavisca employees ?
3.Also if someone can share about pay / bonus / salary structure ( i would discuss this with HR once i clear all rounds )

A parent of one of my students told admin she thinks it's irresponsible that I won't be grading over Christmas break. I let the students know to get any work they need graded in before the break and I'll get it to it during our workdays in January. Apparently that's not fast enough for her 🙄. Piggybacking on my previous post about beginner plants. What about succulents? Are they low maintenance?

I’ve been unsustainably swamped for months. Partner said they wanted to add an additional, more senior associate to the team on one massive case that went from “stayed” to “on fire” in the span of a month.
