If you know in your heart that this move will objectively bring more fulfillment and a better overall perspective and mood, then it's simple math really. Either the new job supports your current lifestyle, perhaps with so.e adjustment, or you'll have to move to a cheaper house/apartment and/or downgrade the car.
If the house or car are too important to let go, then the new opportunity isn't important enough to you to make the switch. We'd all be following our dreams if it paidwell enough.
That’s a good way to view it, I think as my career progresses, my opinion on what I want becomes more complicated.
Went into a supervisor role and immediately knew it wasn’t for me. Left and took a lower-paying role with fewer responsibilities. Sometimes climbing the ladder isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

That’s good to hear, I’ve heard of people not being into the ladder climbing, I think I’m still yet to find out if it’s for me or not.
I was in that situation at my former job. I moved up, honestly because it was convenient, and I found myself doing things I really had no interest in doing. I made something of a pivot and moved to another company, doing a reset like that was the best way to get on a track I found more agreeable.

I’ve thought shiny doing this, I think I’m just so worried about getting a pay cut when wages are already terrible.
