I recently had an interview with HCL and cleared 2 rounds of technical interview. I waited for a week for HR call but no such call was received. I then contacted the POC who scheduled the interview (he is an HCL employee) and he said that I have been shortlisted and will receive HR call shortly. This was 1 week ago and I have still not received any call. Has anyone else faced the same issue? And if yes, should I even expect a call fro HR?

The one benefit to 2020 is that I can short circuit interviews by asking interviewees about their stance on current issues. Modern day sorting hat prior to starting the real assessment.

How much time they take to schedule interview.
Have cleared my first round a week ago but still they are unable to schedule second round. Notice is about to end in 3 weeks.

Can anyone share insight to the IB associate interview? I may be lateraling over, and then I assume it’s more deal focused? There isn’t a ton of info to associate vs analyst.

HR people/hiring managers: is it ok to apply to the same job twice using two different methods (like via LinkedIn and via the website) if you’ve applied one way and haven’t heard back, or is that just going to annoy people more? On the one hand I feel it increases your chances of getting seen, on the other hand it’s probably a waste of someone’s time. Thoughts?

Is submitting job references obsolete?

I didn’t get asked one for my current role and it’s looking like I won’t for the one I’m interviewing for now.

To be fair, all anyone ever does is pick people they know will say really good things anyway. So maybe removing them just saves everyone time.

I'm a Marketing student and was recently offered part time internship positiom on the marketing team of really cool FinTech Venture Capital company .During the final interview , I luckily asked for their pay range for interns and almost fell to the ground when he said $30/hr min. I would have said $18/$20 if I hadn't asked him instead .The average student earns between $15-$20 ...so it sounds really good but that's only an opening offer. Should I ask for a higher amount like $35 -$40?

I interviewed for a job at a new company, and the role would be a huge pivot for me. When asked, I gave the absolute minimum I would be willing to accept (my current salary) since I have no experience in the area. The company came back and offered an interview for a different role, much closer to the job I currently do. After a month of waiting, HR finally called me today and scheduled partner round within a couple of hours. The interview went fine except that partner has asked for an additional round of fellow-partner interview. Is this normal? Are they undecided about salary part or designation? Interested in making the move from data analytics to data science eventually at bigger tech co. Currently at a startup, coming up on 1 year mark this week. Got an offer from a ML startup for another data analytics role with clear progression to ML engineer. Comp is the essentially the same (95k). My fear is jumping around too much too frequently. Should I stay at my current role, bide my time, and keep trying to jump to a bigger tech data role or make the switch to another startup now?

I got an offer from hcl and they are offering very less hike on my current CTC around 20% even fixed part is less than my current fixed amount.
