Out of college, I was offered a job that paid $45,000 a year which I know doesn’t sound lucrative but when you just graduated college and you’re still working in retail making 8.50 an hour $45,000 a year is a lot however it’s for a company I kind of think is evil so I just couldn’t take the offer
Lol "lucrative job offer"? What is that? I'm hoping I'll some day receive one and be in the financial position to potentially turn it down, I'm not holding my breath though.
Not me, but my husband actually about a year ago. Maybe not extremely lucrative yet more than what he was currently making. It was a position that was going to have a ton of travel involved and just didn’t make sense to be gone that much for work. Travel would be one of my deal breakers probably regardless of the money.
Same here, haven’t exactly been swimming in lucrative offers myself. But I totally get the dilemma. If one ever comes my way, I hope I have the clarity to weigh money vs. peace of mind. But it'd be hard to turn down a lot of money in this economy, if I'm being honest.
Never. Only because I have never been in a position where I was made a good offer from a company I didn't like. I'm pretty confident that if a business which didn't align with my morals offered me a job, I would turn it down no matter how good the salary.
