Tough decision for a hotel in Houston .. I’m between the Hilton Americas and the Lancaster. Both in downtown Houston. Has anyone stayed at either and recommend one over the other? Thank you!

Is the Marriott bonvoy status worth anything? I am booking a new years trip and if I book at a Marriott it would get me to gold but there is a Hilton l I can book for $250 less.

Kind of disappointed with Marriott Bonvoy. Redeeming points is so expensive relative to how long it takes to earn them. Also it doesn’t sound like free nights are easily accessible without a Marriott cc.

What is the most amount of times you have Applied to one specific company? It could be different job titles and different states but how many times have you applied to the same company? Sodexo , levy, compass group, Hyatt Hilton Marriott have Applied to all those 30 or 40 times over the past three years. Talk about insanity. I stopped applying six months ago I’m no longer wasting my time with people like this!

Staying at a Hilton in NC and discovered a massive blood stain on one of the pillows after one night. The stain was clearly there before I arrived, but I did not notice until the next day. How many points?

The thing about being a lawyer. I grew up not quite poor, but certainly in tough conditions. Tonight I bought my daughter and I two tickets to the world series to see our beloved phillies in an improbable game. When I was a kid, the closest I got was a game on PRISM. I’m a labor lawyer. I spend all my time traveling. Frequent flyer miles paid for the plane, hilton points for the hotel, rental days for the car. Sometimes this job sucks, but sometimes it’s easy to remember how glorious it can be.

Staying downtown Columbus Hilton for my wife’s job conference and we have to use valet parking since I need to use my car to go to work every day. $40 a day, how much do I tip and is it when I drop my car off and when they bring it to me in the morning?

Anyone been to cdmx recently? I’m trying to decide between staying at St Regis and Umbral, curio collection by Hilton. Price is comparable (1300 vs 1100 worth of points). Regis gave me the luxury suite upgrade, Hilton may give me an upgrade at checkin but no guarantee. Both look great, so maybe it comes down to neighborhood? Regis is in reforma near Roma Norte and condesa, while Hilton is un centro histórico. TIA!

Just got the CSR card. Debating whether to continue using my AX Blue Preferred (6% groceries, 3% gas), CapOne Savor (4% restaurants), Hilton AX for hotels only (no annual fe, and Bonvoy Visa for hotels. Continuing to pay for the Bonvoy is nice since it gives a free night every year. Also continuing to pay for AA and UA cards for the free luggage check and priority boarding, but don’t use them otherwise. I feel like I’m paying a lot of annual fees now and there’s something to consolidate here.

Thoughts on the Hilton no AF Amex? 100k points and $100 statement credit seems pretty good. I’m a bonvoy person but free points seem legit…

Planning our honeymoon in Paris this winter. We are Hilton Diamond and plan to use free night certs at the Hilton Paris Opera. We've also got IHG points and are looking to spend the second half at the Intercontinental Paris - Le Grand.
