I hold 2 offers TCS 12 LPA (IT Analyst - C2, Vertical: HiTech) and TechMahindra 13.5 LPA (Sr. Software Engineer - U3, Vertical: IT).
My relevant experience is almost 4 years and overall 6 years.
In TCS location and role aligns and in Tech Mahindra I have been told it's mostly a bug fix role at Morgan Stanley.
I want to choose between them which should I go for?
I would like you to share your experiences with both of these companies and what I should prefer.

How does a sole engineer at a company go about getting management to actually care how production machines run? I’m the only mechanical engineer at my company dealing with a half dozen cranky production managers who think that I can “work my magic” on a machine. It’s not magic, just ignorance about the machine actually works. How to I get a manager to stop caring about the end product long enough for me to actually teach them about their own machine?

I went through the entire recruitment process and got selected for IBM ISL. Now I am being told by the HR that they are unable to release offer as there is a hiring freeze.

Can any one please tell me if its correct or just an excuse not to give me offer. If its true, when will this freeze be removed?

What would you prefer:

Job 1: 85k at small boutique firm (3 attorneys). Standard benefits but no 401k. Semi-annual raises. No billable hour requirement and regular 40 hour week. Being groomed to be a partner on a 2-3 year track.

Job 2: 135k at large regional firm (200 attorneys) good benefits. 1900 billable hours requirement. Partner track is 6-8 years but not guaranteed.

I had a hectic last three months working up to 16 hours a day due to my project. During this time I took advantage of convenient food which isn’t always the best. Current firm really wants me to stay, counters that it will try to get me salary as close to big law offer and give me complex work. Stay at ID firm or accept big law offer?

If yes, should I quit my job and pursue a fulltime 1.5 year MS US or 2 year MBA? wrt MBA CAT makes it unpredictable and wrt MS, US Market is very unpredictable right now.
