I think the vengeful MD that sabotages your career based on his connection is a myth that is told to juniors in order to keep them in line. And most of the time comes from MDs that have skipped around multiple shops in a couple decades when they got a better opportunity...those loyalty talks are such BS . You take care of numero uno first, nobody will ever do it for you and nobody has any loyalty but to their bank account in this industry.

like

The only thing they would legit be upset with is a move to a competitor. If you move to a potential client then it’s good for the MD to keep good relations.

Check other groups if you are worried

Where are you exiting to after a year

Agree with above

You can absolutely quit after a year. Remember recruiting takes time too so if you start now it’ll prob take a couple months to find something you like and you’ll have a little more experience by then. Easier to leave at junior level too bc you’ll most likely take a pay cut leaving banking - even to go to PE

Hello fellow SAP Consultants!
I am SAP HCM consultant having 4.10 years of experience. I feel that this module doesn’t have any growth. My first switch took me to 9LPA from 6LPA and now the second switch is being offered for 11.5LPA where I can see my fellow friends in SAP having more than 15LPA at the same experience on their second switch itself. Should I be worried about my skillset? Any insights would highly be appreciated. I feel stuck.

Is our industry as competitive as some say? I see a lot of people saying this and I work with a bunch of hacks (myself included). It felt like a little while ago agencies were begging to hire new talent, and most couldn’t find new people. Is it really that hard to get a job at an agency? Maybe I’m just out of touch being in this career for so long.

Hi fishes,
Iam a production support engineer (ETL,JAVA)with 5 years experience and 8LPA. Iam planning to switch my career. Will salesforce be a good choice for me? Please suggest.

I just left my pre-seed startup that was running out of cash (we made $100,000 in revenue this year, and sunk $1m in costs). I was making $40,000 as a developer (plus 20k stock options at $1/share per year) and they refused to pay me any more money. I have 17,000 vested stock options, total number of shares at the time of my contract was 4million. I’m a bit confused about share dilution and if it’s worth it for me to buy some of my stock options… thanks in adv!

What’s a fair expectation for my first raise? Publicly traded co with ~2500 employees. I’ve been doing litigation with the company for almost 3 yrs and have only had a 2% cost of living raise so far. Graduated in 2014. Base comp is $127.5k in the Philly area. I see salaries all over the place in this site and it’s hard to tell whether mine is competitive.
