I hove done Btech. I joined Morningstar recently and completed 4 months. The work I am doing here is not at all technical, its kind of data collection(US SHIFT). But in the JD they mentioned we will be working on sql powerbi etc. I feel like I am stuck here there is no growth and I wanna make my career in tech only. I am thinking to resign as I complete 6 months here. Then hunt for Tech roles. Is my decision fair or should I wait a year in morningstar and then switch to tech role?

People with tiny kids (baby/toddler), how are you coping/entertaining your little buggers? Ours is turning 1 very soon and we have a push trike in the mail, but thinking of inside activities too.

Has COVID-19 taught anyone that they don’t know how to cook/grocery shop/provide basic sustenance for themselves? Lol

In college/grad school I always had a meal plan which made it super easy to get food. Then right after grad school I went right into consulting which I’ve always expensed meals or eaten out.

Now being at home, I have to adult by finding and making food myself - this sucks! 🤣😫

Is it a fail of character leaving biglaw? I want to leave, but despite the constant stress and suffering, I can’t avoid feeling like it’s my fault or that maybe I’m over exaggerating how I feel. All my colleagues feel ridiculously happy, I’m the grinch one that’s never enjoying the grind (but the grind is hard and competitive, very competitive) :( any thoughts? Is there future after quitting biglaw so young?
