I need my work to have meaning and what I’m doing isn’t it. Problem is, I haven’t figured out what “it” is and too afraid to leave for the security/lifestyle it provides.

I’ve only been in short term casual flings & i feel like they are always shallow in convo - I try to get deeper to clarify my intentions but i think it’s too soon and it crashes. At what point do you start talking more emotional/deeper topics with someone you are romantically interested in? What do those topics include?
