Hey Everyone, as the amount of students we work with increases, along with their needs, I thought this would be a cool space to share ideas, ask questions, and offer support.

Seriously considering a move to NYC. Any counselors in the area? Wanting a bit of insight into the hiring process! I hear it’s very competitive, but I wanna get a feel for if that means “basically impossible” or “it might take a bit longer than you think.”

Background: It’s my 3rd year as an elementary school counselor and I’d like to stick with elementary or middle. I have friends and family in NYC and Long Island and I’m looking for a change of scenery (and a pay increase, tbh).
