when joining a new company, do we need to submit the relieving letter on the day of joining, or is it okay to provide it after a few days?

Also, does delaying it cause any issues with HR or onboarding?


I have some bonus with me so my full and final will be negative. After my last working day I will be providing bonus amount back to my current organisation. This will take few days.

I have got an offer for Manager level at a Big 4 in Consulting. People who are 3-4 years juniors at my MBA college are at Manager level and might get promoted sooner than me. Also, a couple of immediate juniors are at Senior Manager level.

Have you been in a similar situation? Is it awkard? How to handle it after joining?

PS: If you are wondering, I do not have a Big 4 or consulting experience while they have it.
