Hi all, First time posting. I was let go about a month ago. I have not updated my LinkedIn or resume because I feel companies don’t want to hire anyone who has been let go. I am interviewing and they are under the impression I’m still employed.
Would they be able to find out that I’m no longer employed through a background check? Has anyone gone through this?

Yes, they will find out via a background check. You need to be upfront with the company you are interviewing for.

Criminal history is what they’re looking for.

There is an opportunity that I’m currently interviewing for that is very interesting to me. I’m interviewing two other places but I’m not responding to LinkedIn emails for other positions. The other positions don’t interest me as much. On one hand I don’t want to waste time prepping for all positions and rather put that time only for the ones that I have going on, on the other hand I feel like what is that falls through. Wondering if I’m making the right choice

Genuinely curious here: currently and SDR and 25yrs and have been an In this position for a little under a year and I want AE. I know the economy is tough right now but I can’t get promoted internally. my current company is a sales consultation company (basically we do your outbound for you) and I’m making 170 dials a day on top of other hard to hit metrics. I’m studying how to do demos, interviews etc to make myself the best. I know the SDR to AE external jump is tough but any other advice?
