Hi all! I’m a 2024 grad with a B.A. in PR & strategic comms who’s interested in making a career switch from marketing into sales— consulting, business + sales development/partnerships, account management, and customer success in all industries.

I have a lot of content marketing experience and have tried to frame my marketing experience into sales-focused roles but been having a little bit of trouble with it. Based upon my resume and also what I’ve said — what would be some good advice?

I work for a late stage(ipo) start up, earlier this year we were acquired & since then they got rid of our yearly bonuses and gave us an ESOP grant.
2 RIFs later we are almost bare bones. Since we are coming up on our usual yearly evaluations many of us assumed (with multiple conversation from our managers) that pay raises and promotions were due.
In a recent All hands we found out that this year there will be no pay raises nor promotions based off merit. Is it time to jump ship?

Yesterday only during their press meet they told that they have honored all the offer letters last quarter...and today itself you can see so many delaying and postponing of joining cases in this group only....there must be something very wrong or messed up.

I have worked in sales/bd for 12+ years, but have only been in digital marketing for a little over a year. I work for a small agency that does little to no inbound marketing and all I do is cold call all day long. Does anyone have any suggestions for finding or establishing referral partners? So my company got acquired by a large corporation. Things are getting weird, and even though I have 4 years at my company this larger company doesn't seem to have much opportunity for growth until the next year minimum. I got a job offer paying 54k more in base, while selling a more superior solution in the same industry. Would you leave your job for more money and enterprise experience or stay where you have tenure and ride it out the acquisition longer? I am selling into smb and mid market now
