I have worked in sales/bd for 12+ years, but have only been in digital marketing for a little over a year. I work for a small agency that does little to no inbound marketing and all I do is cold call all day long. Does anyone have any suggestions for finding or establishing referral partners? Or any advice on how to get into a more established agency/brand for someone with sales experience but limited digital marketing experience? Anybody ever transitioned from sales to customer/client success?

I got a job as a infrastructure consultant right out of college 3 years ago and later became a solutions architect at the company I am at now. I have a degree in CS and never really got the chance to use my programming skills (Java, python, Springboot framework). I’m finding that I’m not really in to platform engineering or cloud infrastructure and would like to pivot to software/app development. And suggestions on where I could get started on making this transition?

After working 5+ years and letting life happen, I ended up back with a staff title (no career/group change). Everyone said I was doing well throughout my career. But most of peers are now managers, senior managers, directors, controllers, etc. I really don’t want to compare, but how do I deal with this so it doesn’t bother me? Has anyone else been in this situation? I feel partly ashamed because all of the work I put in didn’t get me very far in my career.

I am looking to make a career change to HR. I currently make 75K as a sales and development coach. I had a recent offer for a state government position in a talent acquisition role but I’d be taking a $25K pay cut. I am extremely over qualified for the position but it could possibly be a stepping stone and gives me the time to acquire SHRM certifications and possibly start taking classes to get my MBA. My question is those currently in an HR role, would this move make sense to you?

I have two questions. I have 10 years of experience in multiple sectors and I have been trying to gain a leadership position. I am attempting my PHR this summer but what are some tips in order for me to obtain a leadership position? Also, how long does it take to obtain another position out of state? I have given my interview in HCL and cleared 1 TP, 1 hcl manager & Client TP and Client Manager rounds .
In initial screening HR told the generic statement of 30-40% and I have given my ask as 50% minimum. After clearing the rounds I heard from the project team that Client has given great feedback and wanted to take me in .
What is the % I can ask in HR Discussion and will they reject in HR if I ask more now .

I’m in an online environmental science masters program at an expensive “name-brand” school, but have colleagues telling me I should transfer to a less expensive program to save $ because no one cares about where your degree is from. Joined LTI recently in P3 band. However not allocated any project. Got a call from the resource management team to relocate, which I rejected upfront as I was promised a role in the location I am posted. It has been over 2 weeks since I am in bench. What shall be the next steps, shall I wait for some days or start looking for other jobs as getting a project looks difficult as there are minimalist responses.

So, I’m interviewing for a position that fits perfectly, HR likes my profile, had great conversations with them. Today I had a Panel interview with HR and the hiring manager. The manager is not experienced, it’s her first r manager role and she’s been in it for 3 months. I was prepared but was out of breath the entire interview, had a knot in my throat, had trouble finding my words. It’s like I had PTSD when this manager came into the picture. Ever had that?

So my company got acquired by a large corporation. Things are getting weird, and even though I have 4 years at my company this larger company doesn't seem to have much opportunity for growth until the next year minimum. I got a job offer paying 54k more in base, while selling a more superior solution in the same industry. Would you leave your job for more money and enterprise experience or stay where you have tenure and ride it out the acquisition longer? I am selling into smb and mid market now
