Hi all! I'm about 5 months postpartum, and the weight has been slow to come off. I've always been more of a pear shape and liked outfits that fit snug around the waist or high waist pants/skirts, but given the change in my body, idk if I could still wear that. Curious though if wearing a long top or dress with a belt makes sense, or does that look weird? Also, any ideas for a date night outfit? Again, the untucked, free-flowing look looks a bit odd on me now.
Sorry, that's a lot, but thank you!

I think accentuating your waist makes sense especially if you’re pear shaped. I’m 5 years post partum but can’t get rid of the c-section shelf so I wear high waisted things all the time. Shapewear will also help smooth things over.

I’ve been wearing a lot of loose button-ups with only two or three buttons done (the ones at my lower bust and waist to create a little shape without really showing anything), and on my first date out of the house wore a thin white button up like that over a black nursing tank dress with some strappy black sandals and gold earrings

Is it true Deloitte is not sponsoring H1B visas? I have a friend considering joining as an SC after MBA. However, they are concerned that Deloitte is not sponsoring. Are these fears correct? How does this work from a recruiting perspective? They would be hired as an off-cycle campus hire via PPMD referral, not within the standard pool of campus hires. Thanks!

I don’t know about the rest of you but I don’t have enough room in my home for a full blown professional “looking” office. If these companies want to start chipping in on remodel expenses, I am listening. Otherwise, don’t worry about my kitchen table and kids running around the house. That’s what kids do!

Anyone from Embark able to tell me about some benefits you have. Like how long is Paternity leave and do you have to be with the firm for a year to use it? Also what health insurance do you have? I saw that Embark fully pays premiums but if it’s a junk insurance company then that’s not so great haha.
Also how often are you traveling / in office? Thanks!

Billables are low this month. Like I have 65 billable hours in so far. I’ve messaged partners over the last week to try and get more cases but there are tons of new associates who were just onboarded and were at a low point for business. I’m freaking out
