Hi, can anyone tell me what is going on with Advance Variable Pay in Capgemini. Since this is my first year in Capg, I dont understand.

Got a mail few days back that I will get Advance Variable Pay in Jan salary. 60% of total is advance. For me it came to around 1.2 Lakh. So after deduction of 30% tax I was expecting to receive around Rs. 80-85K along with my salary. But I received ONLY 50K in addition to my salary for January.

Why is this ? What is the procedure here I dont understand.

Is an IPO in anyone’s FIRE strategy? Maybe this is specific to the Bay Area, but it doesn’t seem that unrealistic to negotiate enough equity to make $1.5 mill off an IPO. Or maybe I’m dreaming 😂
