I suppose it's one of those careers like nursing, that for some reason just have a disproportionate amount of women compared to men. Maybe it's something to look further into as to why that is

I completely agree! I think it's so important to have more males in the caretaking field. It can be such a positive force in a child's life to have a strong male role model who is caring and nurturing.
I agree with you for so many reasons. For one, it can help break down traditional gender roles and stereotypes. It can also show children that there is no one "right" way to caregiver and that both men and women can be nurturing and loving. Additionally, it can help create a more equal society in which both men and women are seen as equally capable of caring for others.
